While being sarcastic or responding to a sarcastic remark, you have to think more, as you need to modify your original message and spice it with humor, or "decode" what you hear. Of course, this trains your brain better than an ordinary conversation.

According to the scientists, people rarer feel offended when the criticism you offer is wrapped in a sarcastic remark. In other words, you criticize people indirectly, which may be perceived more polite – of course, only if you choose the right words.

Joking in a company of strangers is usually considered quite risky, and if you are not afraid to be sarcastic while talking to someone you've just met, they will definitely notice how confident you are.
