theotishaynes, No, they're not. They don't lack pigmentation, they just have less of it. and for your information, all races, including blacks, have albinos.

David Smith, at the Newport aquarium in Kentucky there were 2 albino a.lihators, one called snowball. Not sure if they still have them though.

The koala is the cutest but the crocodile is amazing. I didn't realize there were albino reptiles. Looks like it's made of plastic.

Rudy Datoc, There are white rabbits who are NOT albinos, they still have melanin albeit not much. Just like a white person vs an albino.

As a biologist; I appreciate the hardships associated with lack of melanin. In Africa the human albinos are seen as bad luck and are usually shunned. Thank you for sharing these beautiful creations of our Mama Gaea. Be well.

We have had an Albino deer turn up in our area. Unfortunately, as soon as someone spots it, they publicize it and guess what?. It's the number one target for hunters come hunting season. Also, I had, a few years back, three jet black squirrels.
