No 4 the perfume medallion - the elongated stopper is to apply the perfume to the pulse spots i.e. the wrists, behind the ears.

Never seen them in my 73 years but I don't see how the egg shell remover would be efficient as it most likely remove the white of the egg also. It looks more like a torture gadget.

Believe it or not, I knew what many of these things were. My Mom & Dad dealt in antiques in the 1960's. They brought home some strange looking items but they knew what they all were. I'd love to have #1 today. I hate peeling hard boiled eggs. Depending on the eggs, they can be a bear to peel without taking chunks of the whites. Not very attractive for deviled eggs. Plus it's so time consuming. For holidays I had to do 2 -3 dozen eggs for our large family. A friend of mine finally taught me a trick, buy your eggs a week ahead of time. They are still good but they peel easier than the super fresh eggs. I'd still like to try that utensil/tool. Anyone know where I could get one?

The pocket sundial can also be taken for a sextant, used on ships to navigate at night.

The item the person thinks is a washing machine is actually a butter churn.

flanderschristy, put the boiled eggs in ice water for à few minutes and the shells come off very easily.

I love how the cork press, closed, looks like a dinosaur.

#8 is not a calculator. It is most likely a metric distance measuring device, a precursor to tape measures.

flanderschristy, Go online and purchase yourself a DASH - Egg Cooker. They're inexpensive and one of the best kitchen items on earth! My son bought me one because I complained about how difficult it is to peel boiled eggs. What a life saver, you will not be sorry! I'm always telling my son it's the best gift ever!!!
