Oh, Paddy dear and did you hear the news that's goin' 'round. The shamrock is forbid by law to grow on Irish ground. For now the color we must wear is England's cruel red and there's a bloody law ag'in the wearin' of the green.

Nobody flys the “Flag of St Patrick” either!!! They fly the flag of the Republic of Ireland!!!!!! If interested it is a red diagonal cross on a white background. But as it is part of the Union Flag of St George, St Andrew and St Patrick. Republic Irish see it as a symbol of British colonialism! It is also correct that the colour for St Patrick is blue!

Donald Mcdaid, the Dark Age records point to his original name being Sygydd (English transliteration: Sucat/Succat). He was reckoned to have been born in the old 'North Welsh' (British) Kingdom of Strathclyde (somewhere near what is now Dumbarton).
